Scott Lincoln - 8th in the WORLD! History made.

We couldn’t be prouder of Scott Lincoln for his performance at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. He threw 21.00 m to qualify for the final, and then held his own in the championship field to finish 8th overall in the men’s shot put.

This marks Britain’s best ever finish in the men’s shot put at a World Championships.

A massive well done, Scott - your hard work and dedication over all these years have really shone through. Massive congratulations to your current and former coaches (including York based coach, Paul Wilson) for guiding you to this milestone.

Together, you’ve made City of York AC proud!
